Andre and Rachel’s passion for triathlon and sport will help you go the distance

Meet Andre

Andre began triathlon in 2015, but his athletic journey started with soccer and tennis growing up. After playing tennis at a high level through high school, he turned to weight lifting while studying to become an Electrical Engineer. After volunteering at Ironman Brasil, Andre decided to sign up for the race and started training for triathlon.

In his first Ironman (Brasil), he qualified for Kona and after only 2 years as an age grouper, accepted his pro license and moved to the US in 2018. His pursuit to be a top athlete has been nothing but steady and consistent over the first few years and now features as of the best athletes from Brazil and breaking into the international field

Meet Rachel

Rachel began swimming at age 4 and never turned back. She has had a passion for both running and swimming from a young age, but also played water polo through high school.

Rachel was introduced to triathlon in high school, but put any thoughts of competing on the back burner while she swam and ran cross country at Centenary College of Louisiana. Her collegiate tri team got her a bike in 2013, and she completed her first sprint race that summer. After completing her swim career and graduating in 2014, she completed her first 70.3 and was hooked on the long distance from there.

In 2018, Rachel took her pro card and moved to Boulder, CO to chase her triathlon dreams. After a few successful and a few rocky years in the 70.3 arena, Rachel is looking forward to moving to the full distance in 2024.

Hobbies: Creating (videos, outfits, etc!), petting cats 😹
